nyc skip: Smart Democrats support gun rights. They tend to be more rational, global thinkers.

Dem gunners tend to be 'more rational global thinkers' he says - like with the UN arms trade treaty where on this very board about 66% of 'smart democrats' opposed the UN effort to try to curb illegal & illicit gun sales worldwide? afraid it would infringe on 'their' selfish concerns about their domestic & pretentious 2nd pretendment?

nyc skip: All Democrats are terrific, of course, but those who support gun rights are likely to understand these rights in the context of history, our own and that of other countries.
Disarming the population, a wet dream of no small number of Democrats, would be a monumental mistake.

Totally disarming of the population - what serious effort have democrats put forth to affect this? Isn't conflating 'disarming the population' with an assault rifle ban & other reasonable gun control efforts a bit disingenuous & a contradiction of your claim to be a 'smart democrat'?
(Oh, & I know a few democrats who aren't so terrific at all. You like blago? some of the mass shooters?)

nyc skip: Welcome to DU, ExCop-LawStudent, and keep up the good work.

Hahahaha! .. uh, excopLS was banned a few months back as a 'malicious rightwing troll'. Click on his screen name, & your advice to him gives you a footstick.
