It's like you have a chip on your shoulder and you will be rude to even your friends if they are bonded with you.
NOT cutting you down but in a lot of other cultures (such as mine, Australia) if MY friend is being picked on or messed with, I'm right THERE saying "Hey...you fuck with him...you fuck with me."
Just an observation.
