and was a bernie supporter,I have to agree with you. Totally regardless of whatever Hillary or Bernie are, the idea that we can engage in guerrilla terrorism is disgusting. I hate it when the Hillary folks do it (and some of them do) and I hate it when the Bernie people do it (and some of them do). Sadly, as Mr. Trump shows, the people who yell the loudest get the Mic. Unless we can talk on a common ground, with a certain modicum of respect, there will frankly be nothing worth fighting for, period. That does not mean forced affection, any sport has rules, but the games can break bones. However, not even the NFL or UFC has people that want to kill each other, and for all the pre-fight faux ali bluster, they know that letting the aggression get out of control will kill the game, not help it.

Of course politics is not a sport, but that makes the need for respect and rules even more important, as it won't be the jock on the field that get hurt, but the people in the stands. I do not pretend to know what Skinner thinks; aside from the fact he seems committed to Discussionist, despite the fact that WE put him on the map. However, however the "jury" system was supposed to work, it is clear to everyone that is is being used to cheat. The whole satellite of DU spin off sites, from the one that is very pro hillary to the one that is very Pro bernie, all have people BRAG and PLAN about how to get people hidden here at DU. It is no longer a question of whether Skinner cannot see what is happening, or will not see it, because neither can't do or won't do is acceptable. Even if Skinner were to be honest and say "I did not anticipate things would get this bad, I hear you and am working on plan B, suggestions accepted" , yes, people would yell, but there would be enough of us that would say "Ok, he listened to us and realizes that we need the proverbial "bigger boat" to catch this shark before this site jumps the shark."

Because frankly, a democratic underground, or for that matter, a Democratic party, that does not draw the line at attacking the very underdogs and minorities that we are supposed to respect will lose it's salt. I go back to sports, no one is saying we will not spar in the ring, but if the crowd burns down the arena, then nothing will be gained, save that Trump will put up another condo where our homes were.
