And see thats all I wanted. An open discussion on the subject. Of course the Democratic Party is the better option for us but like Jesse Williams said....we want freedom now. We're not trying to wait for eternal paradise (if you even believe in that and I don't) on the other side. We want it now. I speak on this from a place of privilege as well. For every one of those SES indicators, I am way above where the average Black person is. Education, income, housing, health. I've been fortunate to be born to educated parents and have a graduate school degree and have a career that affords me an income well above the median salary, but I want to hear more than pandering for these issues during campaigns and I want to see action. And yes, people who don't vote during midterms contribute to this issue.
