2. I feel that too many people can't take female and black voices as seriously as any man's voice

And a black woman's voice is disregarded out of hand.

Rep. Crockett is my wife's hero, and she sends me clips and quotes from Ms. Crockett several times a week. My wife get's tepid responses when talking about Ms. Crockett to white friends, male or female.

You already know my opinion about why that is. Most people "know" that they are not racist, heavens no, but they never ponder just why their knees jerk the way they do.

BTW, Happy Holidays to you and yours, I hope all is well.
