5. I thought Carr showed more poise, confidence and maturity,

a sign he could be growing out of his rookie status. He made some good choices and throws, read his options when given the time, though still telegraphs the ball way too much IMO.

KC may have been lethargic in this game, but the Raiders O-Line pushed around their defense pretty well, as did Oakland's defense do a great job of harrassing Alex Smith. Only when it seemed the Oakland defense changed style in the third quarter -- playing further off the receivers, blitzing less -- did K.C. come alive. LBs Khalil Mack and Sio Moore played well, though they almost blew it with an excessive celebration following a Smith sack late in the 4th. Justin Tuck called a heads-up time-out to avoid a penalty.
