21. Yes, I really do think a lifetime ban would be appropriate.

Many other players, for incidents off the field, should also have been given such a ban. I wish the Bountygate participants had gotten lifetime bans, too.

With Brady, we're looking at intentionally breaking rules in order to gain a competitive advantage. Cheating. The integrity of the sport itself is on the line. There's no law that says the NFL has to remain the most popular sport in the country. Brady is of course a golden boy and part of the brand. But if your brand also says that you can break rules and not face any serious consequences, well fuck, why not break rules? Especially if it helps you get to and win a Super Bowl?

If your argument depends on comparing your guy to men who literally raped and murdered other human beings, you've lost.

Yeah, like the coaches that encouraged players to injure other players. Goblinmonger May 2015 #9
This isn't coaches, it's players. None of the players actively involved in the bounty scandal hughee99 May 2015 #11

I said 2 games. trumad May 2015 #18
Two games seems about right. It's long enough that the league makes a point, and short enough hughee99 May 2015 #20
Take 'em off. trotsky May 2015 #14
We'll see. I'm saying there's no way Brady will sit for the entire season on suspension. hughee99 May 2015 #16
Oh I'm in complete agreement with you. I'm sure he'll barely get a slap on the wrist. trotsky May 2015 #17
Well shit. I'm not sure what he deserves, but there's no way he'll get a season long suspension. hughee99 May 2015 #19

Fair enough. If you have an issue with these other penalties as well, it's certainly consistent. hughee99 May 2015 #22
