11. I don't think its necessary to keep pushing

I did football practice in high school and the coaches would seemingly be trying to give us heat stroke, including discouraging water breaks. Id expect pro coaches to be a little more professional.

I do not think "next man up" is lost on him as he clearly talks about using other players to try to win games, he has the right attitude. Going into the 4th week of preseason the main goal for coaches is to try to come out if it healthy. After Thursday he'll have over a week to gameplan for their next opponent. Who the backup is may be undecided between Shaun Hill and rookie Slave or they may trade.

One afternoon practice for the 4th preseason won't make or break a season unless someone gets hurt.

The scene in practice is also a similar scene you see in games from both teams when a player is severely injured.
