As a huge sports fan, I don't get the appeal of watching people talk about sports. [View all]

I can happily watch football games for 10 hours on Sundays and all of MNF and TNF, but the pregame shows? No thanks. Same for baseball. I'll watch any game, anytime, anywhere, but can't watch more than a minute of MLB Network.

And don't get me started on the shows that run on repeat on ESPN, where panels of sports "talking heads" argue with each other about this or that issue. I'd rather listen to someone scratching their nails on a blackboard on an endless loop than have to listen to 30 seconds of Stephen A. Smith's schtick.

Does anyone else see the appeal?
