6. I just watched a hummingbird take a shower!

My feeder is hanging from the framework of an awning so I can see it from my window while I work. We're having a little rain shower right now and I noticed a female hummer sitting on the perch right under the drip line of the awning. She was fluttering her wings and shaking her head and showed all the motions of enjoying a shower. After a few minutes, she moved away from the drip, shook herself all over and flew off without feeding. Nice and clean!
