14. I haven't seen anyone at the feeders in a couple of days. Temps are still warm, but the days are

getting shorter. As long as the weather holds, they should have good food supplies for their trip south.

I'll leave the feeders up for a few more days, but it looks like it's time to put them away till spring.

I tried a new product this year to keep ants out of my feeders and it worked great.



You coat the inside of the "bell" with petroleum jelly and it discourages the ants from crawling any further. I haven't had to clean a single any out of the feeders this year.

And before I got this posted, I look up and there is a little female at the feeder right now. I guess they stay up for a few more days.
