does much more harm to woman, individually and as a group than good.
I would say woman are one of the prime recipients of the harm religion does.

Just because some women think hiding their faces, belonging to their husbands and someone whose touch needs to be avoided is fine, cause it's God's will, doesn't make it good.

And where does she get this from?:

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Most religions were born out of a desire for more freedom and liberation, for more righteousness and justice. We must claim these core values and put them to work for women.


Most religions were born of some superstition people thought was true.

On the other hand, she is right that this will only change when women change it, they cannot expect the men who lead most religions to change.
