A quote from a ~~fight promotor~~ pastor in the Raw Story article says the rest, though: "I think God made men masculine… Men are made for combat, men are made for conflict, men are made for dominion.”

They want women submissive and in the back seat, so the men have to be tough and dominating. Great for ignorant masculine egos and the ~~arena's~~ church's balance sheet, and great for keeping women "in their place."
