the 'No True Scotsman' fallacy, whether or not you don't like that it's frequently invoked on the internet.

Since this is not a right wing board, you know that no one from the religious right is going to answer this. So you know that all you're going to get as answers is people describing the religious right as best as they can see them. It seems peculiarly pointless to start a thread like this, and then object to the only way anyone can answer your reply.

If you tried discussing the topic you started, rather than responding with ambiguous, uninformative posts that seem designed to antagonize DUers rather than engage them, you might find your threads would advance human understanding rather than muddying it.
