Free will ultimately lead me to the Creator.
The Creator is not something human beings originally find. The Creator has been my Guardian in the migration of my life even when I have not chosen this Great Mystery.
An example of this what when in high school I tried to suppress my spirit's need for the Great Spirit by living it up, drinking, extreme sports and other good and not so good attempts. After making a particular fool of my self I asked myself the question lying in my bed at night, "What am I going to become?" Who am I? Who made who? Who made you?
The essence of these questions overwhelmed me and caused me to cry out to my Creator from the depths of my heart, "God if you exist, reveal yourself to me."
Something stirred in my soul. Questions would come about my destiny and purpose and they would be answered in a day or two. Then one night on a graduation party, my friends and I had the God argument while drinking around a campfire. I said, "If God exists, this Awesome Mystery is worth becoming our Friend." My friend said this God stuff is just for poor people, the rest of us are left to live the best we can.
That night the Creator had the last word. My friend and I almost drown. I saved his life, which in another story was the Creators way of redeeming me from past mistakes. As we sat on the shore, you could cut with a knife the feeling in the air, that we all are one breath away from our eternal destiny. Now is the time! The Hopi know this - I know this - now is the Crossroads of the human story. Which path are you going to take?
