2. OK, but I volunteer at several "religious" soup kitchens and...

the people running them would never, ever turn down help from atheists, or anyone else who didn't share their beliefs. We don't ask the hungry about their religion, either. We'll give them some religious comfort if they ask for it, but never push it on them.

Now, maybe if there were avowed Satanists in full devil drag dropping by to help we might be a bit suspicious.

Other than that, we take the good samaritan thing very seriously. Even if our "samaritan" doesn't believe the story about the samaritan.

Part of being a good Christian is not being in a hurry to judge who is or isn't a good Christian, but I might take a guess about the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen crew.
