1. Why were no safeguard built-in?

Was it a madman, devil may care, roll the dice and take your chances on a shoestring thrill ride, or did they deliberately eliminate the safeguard to cut costs and show potential investors they were a potential goldmine?

Software error...the copilot unlocked the brakes in preparation and the computer deployed them... haikugal Jul 2015 #2
