A high status burial like this would most likely be for a chief or queen. Article doesn't say if she was buried with weapons or how she died, whether of natural causes or a wound from battle. This could be an Amazon.

Usually the chiefs of those Steppe cultures were buried with horses and their wives as many of those tribes practiced suttee. Could the men buried with her be her husbands? I would be interested in finding out.
