(60,045 posts)6. My wife went through chemo and cancer 13 years ago. She said it sucked, too.
Her treatment, with operations, chemo, radiation, etc. went on for about ten months, and she looked weird for about 18 months after that while her body was slowly getting rid of the chemo. That shit lingers.
But she eventually pulled through, and is still with me. There IS light at the end of that tunnel, long though it may be.
