and that's all that matters to the OP sadly.

Never mind it's the Arts that may inspire Scientists. It's the Scientists who are both Scientists and Artists who move both fields forward substantially, case in point Leonardo Da Vinci. Sadly, those people are in short supply but that doesn't mean some scientists may not be terrifically moved by a play and invent something very beautiful AND practical.
