but there IS a point where the structure will snap...always has in all societies...

there are a lot of directions it can go, but in general, regardless of the dominance of reactionary/regressive forces, the society will either 'correct' itself...or be forced to...

it is not merely about change, because the change can always be in the wrong direction (enhanced status quo) and things can become worse...unfortunately, many people accept things getting incrementally worse because they either fear or don't have the energy to fight for turning the society around...

the slow, methodical repression of rights numbs the masses into acceptance...

until the day the guillotine is turned on its masters...

I've said before that when it comes it won't be pretty...but it sure as hell ain't that pretty now...
