(24,411 posts)Believe me, I have been there. I know how it feels. You take it personally--and to heart--when it happens in your own state. It is a direct violation in your own backyard.
I have one post in the past ninety days that was hidden, and that was the post I wrote the night of the Iowa caucuses. I saw cheating and voter suppression tactics in my own caucus. It was jarring. I had friends calling me all night--telling me about cheating, miscounting and bullying. All on Hillary's side. And of course, there were big problems at the Iowa Democratic Party level. So many problems that the Des Moines Register wrote an article titled, "Something Smells in the Iowa Democratic Caucuses."
I do understand what you are feeling. I know the anger and disappointment. You are entitled to your feelings, every single one of them.
We had record turnout in our caucuses in 08. There were absolutely no problems. But this year, it was chaos, problems, tons of dirty tricks and other mayhem. All of this is clearly part of a plan that suppresses votes. It's game playing that enables cheating.
I'm so sorry. I wish I had a magic wand. All I can tell you is that I've been there and I totally understand.
When it happens to YOU in your own state, it really is devastating. We're here if you need to vent.
