(23,156 posts)and should be holding herself far above the petty politics of the primary season.
I mean, after all, Bernie couldn't possibly win a single primary or caucus. Well, maybe New Hampshire, but that's it. And once Hillary swept the South in Super Tuesday of course it would be all over for him and she could move directly into general election mode. Certainly he couldn't do well in a closed primary or caucus, could he? Oh, Colorado's a Western state, so it doesn't really count, and Minnesota is an open caucus and besides, it's right next to Vermont. And he's well behind in the polling in Michigan.
I could go on and on, but we all know what's been happening. I recall reading somewhere last fall that around March 15 everything would shift in Bernie's favor. And it has.
Right now she and her minions are terrified they're going to lose NY. As well the should be. He's going to win Wyoming big in a few more days, and then he'll spend a couple of weeks blitzing around the entire state of NY, while she holds some more fundraisers in the NYC area. Once residents of NY, especially in that vast wasteland outside of the NYC and Westchester County zip codes, once they get to hear what Bernie has to say, and don't have to cough up several thousand dollars to hear it, they'll understand who the better choice really is.
Oh, and I'm calling all of Upstate New York a vast wasteland out of affection, because I was born in Utica, and lived there and in a small town a bit north until I was 14. I've been back a handful of times, and just love that part of the country. It's just that too many people in or near NYC seem to think that nothing worth being aware of exists outside of them. They're wrong, of course. I likewise like NYC, haven't been to visit nearly often enough, but there is a great deal more to this country than it.
