If you read what she actually said you may understand what is going on. She did point a big wagging finger at the FACT that Bernie had just butchered up the NY Daily News interview. A qualified presidential candidate would not do that. There is an implication, which is quite clear. She did not lie. He did make a hash of the interview.

Why did he come out so loud and crass? It looks bad for him. It won't make anyone forget about the bad answers that he gave in the NY Daily News interview.
