I don't think the people in Flint fought that crap water on the basis of Republican or Democrat, left versus right. And the people who fought it had a lot more in common with each other than they did with the rich and/or powerful.

Cause by cause is how we have to start. No, how we have to start is what I've been trying to do on DU since I joined, without ever having framed it that way: we have to start telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Example of not telling the truth: Pretending everything bad came from Republicans and only Republicans.

Example of telling the truth: showing it was both parties. See, for example, this article by Pierce and my two replies on that thread
