(45,319 posts)and I have the right to support him. Your own biases do not rule the country, and thank God for that.
The fact is Hillary held on until June in 2008 and she even mentioned the murder of RFK as being a good reason to have two candidates in June. That's what your candidate said was her right. She said that no one else had ever been asked to drop out of a race, that it was unique to her candidacy and yet her supporters do exactly that to Bernie, the very thing Hillary so specifically said was so terribly wrong to do, she suggested that those calling for her to drop out did so out of bias against her as a woman. But now she, you and all her supporters do to Bernie the very thing she said was so wrong to do to her. Hypocrisy and double standards.
One wonders what motivates this smearing of Bernie. According to Hillary, she was the first Primary candidate ever to be asked to drop out. So that means Bernie is just the second. One does wonder about the reasons for that.
In 2008 I supported Barack Obama and yet I wanted Hillary in that race until the end. It was good for the Party, good for Obama and in the end good for Hillary, who would not be where she is today had she dropped out early in 08.
But you, you want it done. My State is voting right now. Others vote in upcoming weeks and in all of those States volunteers for both candidates and for down ticket Democrats are working hard to turnout the vote. I don't think your showboat routine here helps them at all. I think it hurts the Party rather than helps it. I say encourage the vote, love the process, let it build excitement for November when the real deal goes down.....
