She did not release all of her delegates (I don't believe she released any until shortly before the convention), and she was formally placed into nomination.

Taking it to the convention does not mean continuing to campaign against the presumptive nominee until the convention. It can, but it doesn't have to. Bernie may very well endorse Hillary, maybe even campaign for her, but hold onto his delegates until the convention. I don't see what's wrong with that. I actually liked that Hillary was formally nominated in 2008 and that they had a semi-contested roll call.
