Yet, in common with so many who don't understand that change always begets more change, you apparently failed to watch for and missed signs that that we are in the middle of a direction change.

It's normal for all of us to be unable to understand what's happening when we're in the middle of it, but I've noticed a number of people here view the world through a prism of victimization ("victors" now?) and helplessness, and of course the inevitable resulting hopelessness. Nothing new there, but very regrettable.

All I can suggest is accepting that some are far better students than others and considering their findings and theories. An almost endless supply of books that are informative and often enlightening is available on Amazon (yes, another "victor," but we can be victors too) for a dollar or less plus $3.99 shipping.
