we lost just because of one message that other side had... jobs jobs jobs jobs [View all]

1. He blamed jobs loss to NAFTA and TPP which resonated to voters, heck he got many Obama voters. That is why many trump voters approved Obama according to exit polls.

2. Just think of yourself, how many have felt the grunt of layoffs and jobs being outsourced to cheaper destinations like India, Mexico and other parts of world. Did you not want sometime that someone can stop this movement? Yes I know when I analyze the movement, I come to conclusion that we need to develop new jobs in clean energy and biotech but see all these need educated workforce. There were well paying blue collar jobs that moved and unless we can retrain them, they will not be employed in these areas. If someone promises them that he going to factory jobs back to USA, that will resonate, this is a populist message. Truth is that jobs will not come back, but its too late, we lost most critical election in 21 century, SCOTUS could have reshaped our future.

3. His lies about Ford etc hurt HRC in MI, even though Ford released statement, the message was out, it resonated.

4. He further blamed Obamacare on job loss by saying this hurt business, so people did not worry about loss of healthcare, they though first about themselves which is dependent on JOB.

5. We almost gutted our call centers and they were all located in low cost cities in USA, where do these people and go and work, there is nothing for them. I can see how they are hurt and they are looking to blame someone. These fellow citizens of ours are suffering. One thing democrats missed is that we ignored these voters, President Obama should have worked on something that directly targeted this electorate, they are rural but were blue collar, working class. We should have launched major initiative to create new jobs with help of special federal incentives to move jobs in these areas, this is where we screwed... its too late and I doubt Don has will to do this.

7. I goto India for business very often and I can see the vibrant economy that is flourishing and I pause everytime to think that most of these young indian workforce took a job of someone back home. Whatever happened, I know as well that there was probably no way we could have stopped this but truth is bitter.

I can go on and on...
