they did NOT put up the worst candidate possible, just as they thought McCain/Palin would win.
They want to win, the chose the least putrid (in their minds) candidate, according to the primaries. People voted for him.. not by much, but they did. THey fully expect to win. There is no secret controversy or coming crash.
Really, really, over-thinking in a big way. My weirdo right wing Glenn Beck fan neighbors think that there is a crash coming, and they are 200 M&Ms short of a full bag.
