2016 Postmortem
In reply to the discussion: It's truly disturbing to see the Sanders camp repeat Trey Gowdy's lies. [View all]highprincipleswork
(3,111 posts)Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it is one individual, please do not smear the entire "Sanders camp"
Not that equally inflammatory posts have not come from the "Hillary camp", or rather from individuals inside the group that supports Hillary.
In fact, I find it kind of laughable that threads can appear and loom large regarding either candidate and there are some people who are banned from commenting on them simply because one person in one of the camps took offense for some reason. That seems absolutely absurd to me. And if people enjoy living in that sort of bubble - well, I just don't think that living in bubbles is a very safe way to live.
It would be nice if we all realize that someday, when this nomination process is all together, we are all going to want to come together for mutual goals and concerns.
In the meantime, let's each "side" strive to be a little less inflammatory and let "the better angels of our nature" guide the discourse.
