If Bernie doesn't defend himself from the lies, then they tend to stick in voters' minds,
if Bernie DOES defend himself, they say "oh look!, Bernie going negative when he said
he never would do that!"
It's the old "heads i win, tails you lose" game, and it could not be more obvious.
Never mind that Bernie never said he wouldn't defend himself, and forcefully respond
to outright lies and baseless attacks.
