(34,648 posts)racist. See, some seem to think white supremacy is setting crosses on fire and stringing black folks up on trees. Yes. That is part of it. But most of it is in the differences in treatment between the races. A person can do or say or behave in a way that does support the system of white supremecy unintentionally. They do not know how they look to others. They so not know how bad it looks to shout down a couple of black women who are talking about the racism in policing, schools and institutions in your city because you think that discussing SS, something that always gets attention every election season is more important that discussing the racism. It's fine with me tgat the wanted to hear about SS. It is a good thing to discuss. But the way the crowd reacted and actualky the worse was how the supporters of the candidate reacted.
Bernie recovered and worked to improve. The supporters? Trashed BLM nonstop. Trolled those two women. Tracked them. Trashed the ones religion.it looked way worse tgan the crowd at Seattle or Bernie. A candidates fans and supporters reflect back on his campaign. We see that and judge his abilities as a leader from how his support behaves and what I saw blew my mind.
