But you are aware he cannot hear you when his ego is determined by his wealth and not by relationships and concern for others. Erich From said this more than 50 years ago and numerous studies showing the disdain for the poor have reached the same conclusions since. Today the rich say they most want respect as if their continual greedy and succcessful pursuot for wealth over people has earned them respect from people who see them and do not like them because of what they do and do not do. Respect hell, they want the peasants to profess their superiority and natural authority over us as evidenced by their material possessions, something we have fought since we were children and read Robin Hood and William Tell and of our own revolution against the King and our Civil War and oppression of Black slaves. They will never get respect until they earn it by virtue and as the Bible says it is as hard for a rich man to gain entrance to heaven as fora camel to squeeze through the eye of a needle. Whether you believe in the Bible or are a humanist, most of us know the rich care too much about wealth to ever earn respect from those not of a similar mind, which thankfullly most Americans are. I would usually say you are wasting time singing to the choir but this is a great reminder why we should support Bernie. Thank you.
