Gripped by the fear that the current frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, has too much baggage to win the general election, a concerned contingent of Democrats is pushing to nominate someone who the GOP will find totally acceptable, so as to avoid any unpleasantness leading up to next Novembers election.
Their nominee-of-choice, one Jesus Christ, seemed to be the safest choice. However, once his past history was scrutinized, Republicans quickly weighed-in with their objections to The Nazarenes potential presidential run.

History tells us that no matter who the Democrats proffer as their standard-bearer going into a general election, the Republicans will be digging up "baggage" that will be exploited by the GOP - and whether that "baggage" is a result of fact or fiction is of little consequence. It will be repeated, regurgitated, spewed by pundits, headlined by the MSM, and endlessly opined upon by political "journalists" who wouldn't recognize a fact if it bit them in the ass
That being said, one wonders what kind of "Democrats" think appeasing the Republicans by NOT standing behind the clear choice of our own Party (whoever that may be) is a good idea. One wonders why some "Democrats" think we should instead take the GOP's perspective on our chosen candidate under serious consideration before WE decide who WE want to be our standard-bearer next November.
I don't know which is more politically naive: thinking that the Republicans will leave any Democratic nominee unscathed, or believing that any Democratic nominee cannot - and will not - be the victim of endless attacks by the opposing party.
I will stand with whoever my Party chooses as their nominee - and I will never allow the Republicans to define who that nominee should be.
