In reply to the discussion: HRC's "baggage" spurs re-think of Democratic nominee [View all]Sancho
(9,070 posts)We really don't know what Bernie can do if he faced a real repub battle. He's really never even faced a solid opposition in Vermont. The intel is there and has surfaced, but generally been ignored. Bernie has plenty of dirt and soft points.
So far, Bernie's temper, inability to respond outside the box, lack of broad-based experience, and weak advertisements bode poorly for a GE campaign that would defend against a billion dollar war chest.
Nice post, NG. The point is well-taken. I like your creative OP, and it makes sense for this election. It also helps demonstrate why a nationally experienced candidate should be the Democratic nominee.
Too bad that there's a subgroup that targets long-time Democrats and takes over threads so that reasonable discussion can take place. They ignore the TOS, post personal attacks, and swam like piranha. That's bad for DU, and hurts the candidate that they claim to support.
