They work, and they are dangerous- but widespread use has made people less cautious than they should be.

What's wrong with living well and staying in shape?

There was a story I heard from a mercenary medic when I was taking ACLS at the time of the Iraq war. He was asking if Viagra could be substituted for nitroglycerin in cardiac events (it can't) The reason? Viagra was easy to obtain and there had been a severe shortage of nitro.

Oy.
