It was ineveitable... they have been pushing it one step farther, a little at a time... nothing really happens and then it comes to this.

It takes something THIS BAD before an asshole like that gets the banhammer. Come on, that one was obvious as hell for a long time running.

I used to love DU precisely *because* the moderation system did not allow personal attacks or let jackassery go too far.

Now the inmates are running the asylum, and I am sorry but hidden posts and a ban are not good enough. That kind of shit should be vaporized forever... not sitting there festering behind a link that will redisplay that hatred with a simple click, while the offender is off giggling in his basement over his childish, cowardly little display.
