I think I can help.

When you respond to a post, your action causes the post to rise nearer the top of whatever group or forum it's in. Rising is the response to kicking! The next time you answer someone else's post, you'll see it get kicked.

n/t means "no text." This means that someone has written something just in the reply title box. There won't be any text in the message text box. Some people don't know how to use n/t, and they put it in the message text box. This is doing it wrong! However, it's not that big a deal.

Alerting is something I"m less clear about. You can alert on a post if you think it's inappropriate. That's how they know about it. They sent an alert. You can't do anything about it. A jury decides what to do, I think. I've opted out of jury service so I don't see that part of it. Sorry I can't help more!
