Just use a website like Photobucket and upload it and paste the URL to the photo in your post.
In other words, DU is not like Facebook in that you can not upload directly from your computer to DU.

Other things like links to Youtube, etc.... just paste the URL. I get the best results when I use the Share button in Youtube and paste that link. Some people paste the browser address and it adds extra crap in front and after the video. Kinda picky but...
