You can still serve on juries for their posts. I'm not quite positive on that. I can't recall ever being called though for someone I had on ignore - so maybe not both ways. It's confusing.

The best way to not get posts hidden is to avoid the name-calling even if it's true, that's how they get ya.

Edit: But yes, put people on ignore, it will make your DU experience better - and make sure to let them know too so you don't see "you have this poster on ignore" responses to your posts.
