In general, posts that ridicule or attack someone's personal appearance are not looked kindly upon and are often felt to be "hurtful, rude, and insensitive", which is part of the community standards.

There are many people who struggle with their weight and posts that may mock that are probably not a good idea.

As you note, the result of a hide is that you can no longer participate, but perhaps you have learned something?
