(10,804 posts)I seem to be fact checking dishonesty from the Clinton campaign daily.
It was bad enough for John Lewis to knee cap Bernie on his civil rights efforts to help sway the black vote. To then have Castro, Gutierrez and Huerta all blatantly lying about Bernie's position on immigration blew a fuse in me.
The media isn't doing it's job as well as it might. Or it comes too late. Likely, that's at the beckoning of the one percenters who own it.
To be absolutely forthright, I have felt like packing it in. If there is not a lofty place for a person like Bernie in politics, then there is no place for me. I need some integrity and decency.
I've never seen the DNC this corrupt.
The political money has reached insane levels. Can you imagine leaving the White House, putting your hand out and getting $4 billion. That's what Bill and Hillary have done. Meanwhile, largely corporate America is spending $5 billion on lobbyists and PACs.
Expecting Hillary to fix it is like putting a fox in the hen house.
I think the stakes are higher than folks realize. If Bernie doesn't pull this off, big corporate is going to batten down the hatches to see no one gets as close as Bernie did in the future.
I don't know what I'm going to do longer term. If Clinton, Trump, Rubio or Cruz are in the White House and congress largely returns as is, I guess all I can do is try to ignore them.
