(14,498 posts).... and need to keep working to persuade the majority of the primary electorate who aren't able to follow the issues and analyze the obstacles in as much detail as we do.
So far , we've outpolled the nat'l party machine in the first three contests when considered in aggregate. You need not be on DU to stay in that... so far successful.... effort. You can work on other fronts.
Still.... you might consider hanging around. ( Among other things , how else are you going to know what the dinosaurs are up to?) DU is a good place to cross-fertilize w. people who are more or less on the same page politically.
Put the race-baiters and and smear merchants on ignore if they bother you. ( Personally I find the psychopathology rampant in those circles more fascinating than disturbing ....one of my guilty pleasures..... so I will never do any such thing.)

There are Democrats, and then there are "Democrats". I was an active, avid Democrat before Deborah Wasserman was born ( I think; How old is she?) And FWIW... I haven't sent $$$ or worked for a state or nat'l party entity since around 2003. ( Maybe earlier. Clinton parachuted in here... NYS... in 2000 to claim the open Senate seat. I think that campaign clinched it.)
But I support... as you do.... outstanding, deserving DEMs w. $$$ and time where I can.
Do what you need to to do. But there are multiple ways to skin a cat. So I hope you will stay with us.
