137. How am I shielding myself behind a wall by asking DUer's to stop name calling?

For one thing, it's not necessary to get the point across, and for another it further alienates the very people whose minds you would like to change.

Name calling adds nothing to the conversation. The acrimony here is already bad enough. We are not helping the Dem party or the country by calling each other names here.

There should be no need to ignore anyone, nor censor the message. Inflammatory language and name calling is not required to get your point across.

I am not trying to turn this place into a day care center (although some days I have my concerns it may be one)...I use profanity and I have no problem with that, as long as it's not aimed at another DU member. Read the TOS.
