NOT limited to DU: On ANY message board, why would you put someone on ignore?

132. Here is the truth for the truth to be known. I've been on this board as a poster and thread starter

for twelve and a half years and have never used the ignore function. Always believed in hearing what anybody had to say. That was up to a few months ago.

Leading up to the 2008 election, the right-wing DLC, DINO's, and Third-way so-called Democrats moved in here and started having people who researchers and debaters PPR'd off of this board. The administrators knew about these actions and did nothing until the elections were over. It was ugly, hateful, thus sad to watch.

After the 2008 election, there was the great e-mail concerning this behavior from the administrators. You name it, the e-mail spelled it out, there was the goading by teams of wolf packs, sock-puppets at the end of their little sticky fingers, multiple login names by the scores all in the pursuit of, 'a death of a thousand cuts', directed at posters who deemed to be too far left. Not to mention some other shit going on aimed at the personal level. Long time posters knew of these antics back then, bitched about them and called out the trolls to their own demise. Yet, only after the 2008 election was anything done about the trolls.

Now here we are again, election season. Also here is Secretary Clinton and her ilk, back with the same stupid dog-eat-dog manipulation tactics and flying kitchen sinks. All I can say is WOW, and that is all I am going to say about her. She does not deserve anything else.

Now back to the ignore function. When you have people openly conspiring on another Website to work as a wolf pack, not wash their hands, and go all out Cybil on unsuspecting posters and keep their position of power on this board, not to mention, this group instructs the administrators of this board to forcefully get posters PPR'd or 'Flagged for Review', for not being enough of a democrat, I will use the ignore function very liberally, and I mean very liberally. Then to add insult to injury, these people bullies are given a, 'get out of jail free card.' Now, all these people can do now is look and sniff at my post. Fuck them and the horse they rode in on.
