In reply to the discussion: I will never watch Rachel Maddow again. [View all]ladyVet
(1,587 posts)40. Gosh, I gave up on her years ago.
Where y'all been?
I tried to watch her, but she'd go into these long, rambling, repetitive tirades and I'd be shouting at her to cut to the chase. The Republicans would have like a five word soundbite that was easy to remember, catchy and could fit on a bumper sticker, and the Dems would have a 500 word essay that only a professor of philosophy could parse. It's no fucking wonder people tuned them out.
Tweety was a spitting, drooling flip flopper, Ed, well, I never quite got what Ed's schtick was. Keith started being a rant-o-matic, and Stephanie couldn't stop blaming all the ills of whatever political hot button she was pushing on the rural and poor. And laughing about it. Fuck her.

It's been a slow, painful descent. Started around the time Olberman was being shown the door. (nt)

The Rachel I used to love would be spending 1/2 of her show investigating what happened
