Sanders is disruptive to a lot of power broker types because he wants that third shift factory worker, that all-night nurse, that below-minimum wage worker -- all those folks -- to have a say in their democracy. The fat cats in the board rooms expressly do not want those folks to have a say.
In this cycle especially, Sanders has drawn such significant support because there are way more nurses and factory workers than there are corporate fat cats. The fat cats still hold the wallet, but Sanders' campaign has shown the workers that they hold they will.
