At least keeping it open as an option.

He's been solid Third Way his entire career. He has OPENLY stated he's not a populist (which makes him an elitist that will do things that are not popular with average Americans).

Choosing Biden could result in very bad things for the Democratic Party. But, choosing Clinton as the nominee may as well. Hard to say, for me, which would result in more harm to the Party overall.
