Bernie Sanders

(14,574 posts)exactly that - they are in the Hillary pub, and they are very partisan in their support for her.
We, on the other hand, or I guess the same hand, are in the Bernie room.
That's all cool, but one of the posters in the pub there says, "That view is based on their determination that they and ONLY they count. AAs don't count, Latinos don't count, anyone who doesn't uncritically accept Sanders as the Messiah has no value or, like their leader tells them, is a collaborator with the Kochs. For them, equality is not a goal. The only goal is for themselves to replace the existing elite. If they ever were successful, which we know they won't be, the results would be horrifying. If they weren't so lazy and clueless, they might be dangerous. So we must be grateful they are the sort of people who are counting on Bernie's fairydust because if they actually worked for what they want, America would be far worse for it."
Honestly I was amazed at this. If we begin using our tax dollars to make this country a better place for us, with health care for all, free college, far less war, deprivatized prisons, successful taxation of corporations who've offshored profits, etc., then WHY is that so bad? Why will 'America be far worse for it?' Why is it 'fairydust?'
Makes me support Bernie more, because he's right. He's been right all along, and it is these third way people who have been wrong. Wrong for the nation, wrong for the middle class, wrong for the poor.
Now, if you'll all excuse me, I have to go and wade through some more 'fairydust.'
